Under Stratton’s management, Assisted Living Executive has grown from a quarterly publication to a nine-times-per-year frequency and been recognized with numerous awards for publication excellence.

Challenge: Increase visibility for educational facility design and develop a business plan to expand ROI.
Solution: Stratton Publishing & Marketing Inc. assumed publishing responsibility in 2005 and has relaunched this annual magazine supplement to The American School Boards Journal, into a lively, informative, and multi-media resource to showcase the best in educational facility design for pre-K to 12 and colleges and universities. A prestigious board of architects and school leaders reviews hundreds of submissions and recognizes the most innovative and high quality design in this 65,000-circulation guide. Stratton also launched www.learningbydesign.biz and Learning By Design E-News to supplement the print publication and expand resources. The publication has been honored with numerous design awards.
Electronic Transactions Association, Washington, DC
Challenge: Produce monthly flagship publication, Transaction Trends, for diverse audience of electronic transactions professionals, upgrade editorial content to better target readers’ needs, enhance design/image to reflect the cache of the organization, and expand advertising revenues in an integrated print/online platform.
Solution: Stratton Publishing & Marketing Inc. began custom publishing the monthly Transaction Trends in 2008, beginning with a redesign, relaunch of editorial content, and expanded integrated advertising sales and marketing program. The new image and enhanced editorial has resonated with readers and advertisers alike, resulting in increased readership and expanded advertising support.
Appraisal Institute, Chicago, IL
Challenge: Relaunch and redesign publication and provide ongoing production and publication management for streamlined operations and maximum revenue.
Solution: Stratton Publishing & Marketing Inc relaunched Valuation magazine for the Appraisal Institute with a complete redesign, refined publication name and tagline, and refocused editorial content in 2007. The quarterly publication circulates to more than 80,000 appraisal professionals. Appraisal Institute staff provide editorial content and Stratton provides copyediting, design, production, and advertising sales and marketing for the magazine and the association’s e-newsletter.
