Three Easy Ways to Enhance SEO

Improving your Web site's interaction with users and search results doesn't mean an overhaul of site infrastructure. Some small changes - including these three tips - can make it easier for search engines to crawl and index your content.

1. Write appropriate tags and anchor text. Accurately describe your page's content with concise, descriptive page title tags. Avoid vague or unnecessary words, and have a unique tag for each page. Same goes for description meta tags and anchor text: Make sure they are relevant, informative, and appealing to searchers.

2. Create effective URLs. URLs constructed of words directly related to a site's content are easier to remember and link to. Prevent users from accessing the same content through multiple URLs - and diluting that content's hits - by using only one URL per page or document.

3. Promote Your Site Online and Off. Good marketing can be equally as effective. Blog about newly added content or services, link and share information on Facebook and Twitter, and make sure your URL is listed on all organization communications.
